Latest News

Two-time South Carolina state champion Lucy Beckham (S.C.) won its appeal and will be eligible to compete for a three-peat.

I encourage you to read the Post and Courier article that outlines everything.

“The original South Carolina High School Leagues sanctions of the lacrosse program, which would have cost the team four regular-season games and prevented it from participating in the playoffs, stemmed from a parent-organized trip to an outside tournament in Orlando in December.”

Lucy Beckham is now allowed to play its full schedule and participate in the playoffs.

“... head coach Parker Ferrigan and an assistant coach be suspended for four games; that the school be fined $2,500; and that the school's athletic staff undergo training on SCHSL rules.

The Bengals went 13-4 last season and won its second-straight Class 4A championships with a 20-13 win over Christ Church Episcopal (S.C.). The team went 18-1 in 2022. They are 1-2xxx this season with losses coming to Cannon School (N.C.) and Charlotte Catholic (N.C.).
