Boys Lacrosse Notebook: Four Players Reach Milestones

by Mike Loveday

The weekly boys lacrosse notebook, powered by LaxRecords, rolls on into its second week with another set of player milestones and updates.

Player Milestones

Andrew Inch from East Forsyth (N.C.) reached 400 career saves against Bishop McGuinness (N.C.) on Feb. 29. Inch made 11 saves to put him at 400 career saves through three seasons. The junior has 22 saves through the Eagles first two games. Last season, he stopped 169 shots.

Alex Jessey added his name atop another record at Providence Day School (N.C.). The senior entered the year as the program’s all-time leader in assists and points and with a seven-goal effort against Legion Collegiate Academy (S.C.), he became the program’s leading goal scorer. He passes his older brother, Cole Jessey who scored 188 goals from 2018 to 2021.

Alex has more than 190 career goals. In his next game, Jessey title the program’s single-game record with nine goals and two assists in a 17-5 win over Marvin Ridge (N.C.). He is one goal away from 200 for his career. Jessey has 345 career points on 199 goals and 146 assists.

Ezra Moore surpassed 100 career goals for Roswell (Ga.) last week. The Bellarmine commit hit the mark in a 17-7 win over Greater Atlanta Christian (Ga.). Moore scored five goals and dished out three assists in the win to bring his career totals to 104 goals and 43 assists. The Hornets are off to a 6-0 start and hold the No. 1 spot in the Georgia rankings.

Jack Britt (N.C.) made his 100th career save against Terry Sanford (N.C.) on March 4. The junior entered the game with 99 career saves. He is the second goalie in program history to record at least 100 career saves.

Stat Leaders

Have you checked out our 2024 Stat Leaders lists? We add players in points, goals, assists, saves and face-off wins throughout the 2024 season. We add game leaders daily and will update season and career leaders as states complete their seasons.

Coach Milestones

Correction: Last week we reported that Roy Kelly from Ransom Everglades (Fla.) was one win away from 200. It was brought to our attention that Kelly is no longer the head coach of the Raiders. As reported by FloridaLacrosseNews.com, CJ Fleming is now the leader in charge of the program. We are working to update Ransom Everglades’ program page with the correct information.

Laxnumbers is working on tying each program’s coach-on-record with our Career Wins list. If you see any coach information on the site that is incorrect, please reach out to Mike Loveday and let him know.

Live Rankings

The state rankings for Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas are now live.

2024 Stat Leaders

The No. 1 Players list is updated heading into 2024. We’ve opened it up to showcase the players we have for each category, regardless of minimums. If a row is blank it means we have no players for that category (hint, hint). If you have a player that you want to see included, please let us know
