by Mike Loveday

Dynamic Duo

The prolific scoring duo of Cade Caggiano and Jackson Price has led Ardrey Kell (N.C.) to an 8-1 record this season. Caggiano leads the team with 68 points (39 goals, 29 assists) and has three games with at least 10 points this season. Price has 67 points and is averaging 7.44 points per game. Both players have surpassed 300 career points.

Caggiano has 342 career points, while Jackson is at 310. At those totals, Caggiano is at No. 15 and Price is No. 28 all-time in state history.

Caggiano started his high school career with a 106-point season. He followed that up with 132 points as a sophomore. As a senior, he is averaging more points per game (7.6) than he did in either of his first two seasons (5.0 and 6.0, respectively). Caggiano is committed to play for Georgetown and is rated four stars by Inside Lacrosse.

Price’s career started almost identical. The attackman scored 102 points as a freshman and followed that up with 135 points as a sophomore. This season, Price is averaging 7.4 points per game through nine games, surpassing the 5.4 and 5.9 through his first two seasons.

The Knights have two games remaining in the regular season. If he holds to his game average, Caggiano could climb up to No. 13. Depending on how many playoff games, the senior has the potential to be among the state’s Top 10 career scorers.

Not So Green
