National Rankings Quick Look

As of April 19, Lawrenceville (N.J.) holds the top spot in the Laxnumbers.com 2024 North America Rankings. Private schools dominate the Top 10 with the first public school coming in at No. 15 with Radnor (Pa.).

The Top 10 is:

  1. Lawrenceville (N.J.), 10-1
  2. Brunswick School (Conn.), 7-0
  3. Malvern Prep (Pa.), 9-2
  4. Culver Military Academy Prep (Ind.), 8-2
  5. McDonogh (Md.), 7-3
  6. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 6-2
  7. Boys’ Latin (Md.), 9-1
  8. Haverford School (Pa.), 12-0
  9. Calvert Hall (Md.), 7-4
  10. Western Reserve Academy (Ohio), 9-1

How Did They Get There?

Lawrenceville has Top 10 wins over Calvert Hall, Malvern Prep and St. Anthony’s this season. Add in Top 20 wins over Gilman (Md.) and St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) and it’s not surprising to see the Jon Posner-led program atop the rankings. The only blemish on the season thus far is a 13-12 overtime loss to Brunswick School.

Speaking of Brunswick School, the Bruins already have Top 20 wins over Radnor, Deerfield Academy (Mass.) along with wins over Darien (Conn.) and Taft School (Conn.). With games against Delbarton (N.J.), Salisbury School (Mass.) and Hill Academy (Canada) remaining on the schedule, expect this team to be in the running for No. 1.

Haverford School (Pa.) is 12-0 and has games at Malvern Prep and St. Anthony’s left on their schedule. With wins over McDonogh, Taft School, Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) and Landon (Md.) the Fords could continue to move up.

Western Reserve Academy is the lone non-East Coast program among the Top 10 and the only midwest team among the Top 20. The Pioneers have wins over No. 23 Archbishop Spalding (Md.), No. 11 Gilman and No. 4 Culver this season. Their loss came on April 18 against Hill Academy by an 8-6 margin.

Stat Leaders

Have you checked out our 2024 Stat Leaders lists? We add players in points, goals, assists, saves and face-off wins throughout the 2024 season. We add game leaders daily and will update season and career leaders as states complete their seasons.

A new feature implemented recently is the ability to see career, season and game leaders for each state. You can even break it down by year for the season and game categories, so you can see who scored the most points in your state in a specific season. This feature is also available on our coach Career Wins list, so you can see who we have listed with at least 100 career victories in every state.

No. 1 Players

The No. 1 Players list is updated heading into 2024. We’ve opened it up to showcase the players we have for each category, regardless of minimums. If a row is blank it means we have no players for that category (hint, hint). If you have a player that you want to see included, please let us know
